Back from the Holidays with a little relaxation. I’ve put together a new experiment for a theta induction. This track rhythmically spikes up and down between Alpha and Lower Theta. You should reach a state between those two tones by the middle of the session. This would be a good track for hypnotic sessions because the Alpha spikes will help maintain a point of focus. This session is available in Isochronic and Binaural too. 30 minutes

This session consist of two tones. The main tone is 38 Hz. This tone has been associated with endorphine release. There is an under lying frequency of 0.75 Hz for relaxation. This is a binaural session. Suitable for looped repeat.

This session can be played in looped repeat. The main frequency is 39.95 Hz. Frequencies between 36 and 42 Hz are sometimes called learning frequencies. A twenty minute digital meditation before taking a major test or study.

There is another tone that overlays at 9Hz for about two minutes during the session and repeats five minutes later. This is for an alert, balanced, and relaxed mental state.

This composition features a prominent binaural frequency of 60.3. This is a Gamma level frequency. Gamma are naturally present during REM and on Awakening which I find interesting because sleep and relaxed states are associated with low frequencies like Delta and Theta and this is a hyper frequency. A feeling of dissociation has been reported with the specific frequency which would make this a good frequency for experimentation in OBE, Near death, and Astral phenomena.

This composition also features a 20.215 Isochronic overlay. 20.215 is the frequency associated with Hallucinations and suggested for LSD simulation . This tone introduces it’s self 10 minutes into the session for about ten minutes. There’s also a low dose of white noise in the background pulsed at 0.5 Hz.

This could be a wild meditation. 30 minutes in length and appropriate for looped repeat.

I had to do something in synch with my favorite symphonic piece (Mozart’s Symphony #25). They say Mozart makes you smarter so I paired it with a frequency reported to correspond with Earth Resonance. This is an Isochronic session and the featured frequency is 26.4 Hz. This is an upper Beta Frequency and reportedly associated with Improved Memory, Quick thinking and left brained activity such as math and logic. This is a seven minute session. It might be good for your morning cup of coffee.

I wanted to follow up my article “Sound that gets you buzzed” with actual samples. It’s been reported that a binaural frequency of 20.215 Hz can induce effects similar to LSD during an entrainment session. I make no claims regarding these samples. I have done a straight single tone recording at 20.215 for a three minute duration. The tone is constant but I have added some fluctuation in intensity for interest. I have done this recording in both Isochronic and binaural sessions. Both recordings are designed to be looped and played in repeat. It takes about 30 minutes for brainwaves to synchronize with audio tones. If you are considering trying these tones then please read the article first.

Imagine the day when you can get drugged up on computer downloads. Yes, you read right, and thanks to certain journalist, digital fix, AKA idose are now another phenomena for techy parents to worry about. Brainwave entrainment has finally made the mainstream press. USA today and ABCNews websites both carried the story of what’s being called ’Idose and digital drugs’ phenomena.

I remembered a couple years back that a certain marketer of entrainment CDs was selling a CD called the Digital Drug. It turns out that they’ve set a trend for other websites and entrainment retailers so that you now have a choice in selecting an Idose dealer. I have a hard time believing that these markets will threaten the heroin or opium trade.

As an entrainment producer I decided it was time to investigate the hype. My belief has been that entrainment works by creating beats that resonates with various frequencies associated with various mental states. I believe in the generality but I have a hard time believing that a very very specific frequency such as 20.215 Hz will truly simulate the affects of LSD.

This frequency is wildly associated with that affect. I admit to feeling slightly disoriented from experimenting with this frequency but the affect is nothing compared to the memories from my Jim Morrison inspired youth. Let me get back to the question: Can sound simulate the affects of drugs? Sound has been made into a military weapon, it certainly can alter states of consciousness, and has profound effect on mood - so why not?

I’m going to speculate that different individuals have different levels of susceptibility and suggestibility. A few individuals might be profoundly affected by listening to the LSD associated frequency. Because the frequency is an active beta frequency I can imagine some people would experiance paranoia while listening to it. Most people will experience a change in perception if they listen to the frequency long enough. But I believe the difference is like a carnival ride is to sky diving. I also speculate that audio entrainment would amplify the effects of a chemacally induced altered state. But can we really compare brainwave entrainment to real chemical based drugs?

That is of course a subjective analysis. You could easily test the mental state between of the 20.215 Hz frequency and LSD with test subjects and EEG monitors. Until I see credible evidence of such testing I certainly won’t credit or discredit the claims.

As for the story that featured in ABCNews and USA Today - well - that journalist found something interesting to say. One commenter on the ABCNews site wrote -

“Please tell me this “story” was a joke.Seriously, is there no editorial process at all at the ABC these days? What a complete waste of electrons…Perhaps I should keep a close eye on my very young son though; he hangs out with a bunch of under-5s who quite like to occasionally spin around ’til they’re dizzy. Obviously anyone who does this (or did it as a child) is more susceptible to wanting to try mood and perception-altering drugs too.”

But another commenter aslo suggested we start regulating access to these kind of sounds!

I honestly view it as sensationalist and dangerous journalism. The article was very superficial and took the fallacious position that altered states are an altogether bad endeavor. Anybody with a mild understanding of psychology knows that’s a dangerous and false generality. Next time somebody tells you to take three deep breaths and relax - think drugs. I do think there is valid concern to investigate the desire to immolate the affects of narcotics. The latter would likely derive from an existing psychological condition. But can you really be concerned over an ‘arcade’ desire?

Once again I have to say that there’s a big difference between simulation and life.

The media hysteria is really just helping the digital drug peddlers and the journalizing sensationalist. Goosh, talk about a snake eating it’s own tail. Step on up little John - I have an Idose for your IPod (Disclaimer: Statement satirically made).

This sixteen minute track starts out at 15 Mhz and works down to 2 Mhz. The tone is synchronized with the sounds of an ambient outdoor night. The 2 Mhz frequency is associated with delta brainwaves - delta brainwaves are a condition of sleep and prevalent during REM. This is not a repeat track.
